Want To Play?

Here is a quick video on what Lacrosse is all about. Click Here.

What league do we play in? At this time we are not a CIF team, but we are working on becoming one. We currently play in the Pacific Lacrosse League (website). PLL is made up of a dozen schools and cities that want to play but haven’t gone CIF yet.

Who can play?? Anyone from Camarillo, Rancho Campana or Rio Mesa High Schools. If you’re go to another school, but live in Camarillo, let us know and we can work something out.

Skills required?? Just a strong desire to compete. Half of the 2017 team did not play lacrosse before this season!!

What is the season?? Generally it is January thru mid-May. Mostly Saturday games.

Where do we play games?? We will play home games at Rancho Campana HS. Away games can range from Pasadena to West L.A. to San Diego.

What equipment is required?? We do have some loaner equipment for first-timers, but it’s on a first come, first served basis. Gear consists of helmet, shoulder/chest pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, cleats.

What does “LAX” mean?? LAX = Lacrosse. 🙂

Products to improve your game

CBLax.com (basically a ball on a short lanyard that attaches to your stick to help with cradling and prevent the ball from going far or getting lost)

TrainingLace.com (a weighted band that bends around and temporarily affixes to your stick to add weight and improve your strength and speed in passing, catching, and shooting scenarios)

• Also, Google/eBay/Amazon search “Warrior Shooter Bag” or “Lacrosse Shooter Bag”. This helps work on shot and passing form while the ball stays in your pocket. “Lacrosse Pocket Stretcher” is another good product as it allows you to maintain your pocket while your stick is not in use. Use a conservative about of force when doing so as to not create an “illegal” pocket that is to deep.
